Meta: Jo's Paper Journal

Player's Notes

The contents tagged *ua: journal are for the psl at [info]underworldangel, and are posted here because rather than a blog or social thing this is Jo's private, pen-and-paper journal. Should it ever become compromised by another character in-game, then there's an actual reference as to some of the contents. Shiny, right?

Below is the outside of her journal, and the title page can be found here. On the final four or so pages are rough sketches of various sigils, contact numbers, and names - none of which are obviously related to one another. For relevant notes in the back pages, see the *ua: journal extras tag. (It is to be assumed that the journal has some form of strap to keep it closed.)

Muds and I went into to town today for some supplies. I still can't decide whether he refused to let me go alone because he's paranoid about safety or because he doesn't trust me, but it wasn't so bad. I actually kind of like him; he reminds me of a hunter.

After a few drinks, we ran into this guy named Connor who suggested we get into contact with his friend. I'm not sure how he knew, but apparently we don't sound half as much like the locals as we thought. (How do you fake a space accent, anyway?) He said the friend could help us find shelter and safety, but... Well, who wants to sit around playing hide-and-seek when you can try to forge a new life until this passes?

Yeah, I do believe it will pass. Either I'm waiting around for Saint Peter or there's a Trickster around here somewhere just waiting to be found. Or maybe this is what happens when an apocalypse goes terribly wrong, but Cas will come around and drag me back where I belong if that's the case. He can do that, right? If Dean wouldn't make him do it, I know Mom would.

Connor didn't have any leads on Riordan, so Muds was out too, but I kept track of the contact anyway. I don't understand his fixation on one, random outlaw out of at least a dozen Top Priority cases, but he claims they have history. Does that mean I might not be alone? I want to hope so, but I also feel guilty for wishing whatever this is on my friends.

It isn't really that bad, though. I mean it. The shock of being in some alternate universe wears off quickly when you have someone to show you the ropes.
